Dr. Phil Show featuring Dr. Franklin Rose- Plastic Surgery Advice for Tweens
13 going on 30! Are kids today growing up too fast? These families say their tween daughters’ demands for racy clothing, Botox and spa visits have them concerned.
What age is appropriate to have plastic surgery? Ten-year-old Taylor has already asked her parents for Juviderm and Botox. Her mother, Christina, says her daughter’s desire to look different is only natural, but her father, Gus, doesn’t want anyone touching his child’s face.
Dr. Franklin Rose refuses to perform plastic surgery on his patient Christine’s 10 year old daughter Taylor who wants to look like Miley Cyrus; and have cosmetic surgery and laser treatment to remove her freckles, Juvederm to make her lips bigger, and Botox for her perceived “wrinkles”.
Dr. Franklin Rose is a guest on the Dr. Phil show and explains the dangers involved in doing certain laser procedures on a patient under 18 years old as the skin and the child has not finished developing.
Houston Plastic Surgeon Dr. Franklin Rose is recognized by Dr. Phil as responsible for telling people the truth and he is the surgeon to go to have anything done should you wish to have plastic surgery.

This is incredibly sad. The mother should NEVER incourage this. When I was a little girl, I wasn’t even allowed to wear makeup until I got older. My parents told me on a regular basis hw much they loved me and how beautiful I was, inside and out. I do the same with my children. Beauty comes from the inside. You must be confident in order for others to see this beauty. I have freckles, by the way, and my husband loves them!

Total insanity for a parent to allow a child to have plastic surgery unless it’s to repair a deformity or other medical reason. They need to teach self-esteem instead of empowering them to emulate the looks of a celebrity.

Be it media, or egoism this rush to be something that we are not is homogenizing, dehumanizing our world. I understand correcting cleft palates or other debilitating genetic disorders and disfiguring scars, but freckles? Bigger boobs? Phil is a fool.
